Rehart hydropower screw conquers the movie screen
Early in April 2015 a film team of four of the production company Newslab visited a Rehart Power hydropower plant in the Jagst valley. Within his project “Leben mit der Energiewende” (Living with the energy transition) this is the third film by the author and director, Frank Farenski. This part – with its subtitle “Selber machen” (Do it yourself) focuses on “small-scale hydropower” and its potential. The Jagst valley plant was a perfect protagonist for Frank Farenski and his experienced camera man, Felix Peschko to show the functionality and advantages of a hydropower plant with detailed explanations by Christian Habermann, hydropower manager at Rehart.
After visiting the hydropower screws further shots were taken in the production halls of Rehart GmbH site in Ehingen, Germany. There the managing director, Klaus Schülein was able to point out the success already achieved, but also the considerable difficulties that have to be faced when it comes to the approval procedures for hydropower plants.
The film premiere of “Leben mit der Energiewende 3 – Selber machen” was presented at the Zoopalast cinema in Berlin on 23 April 2015. Not only Klaus Schülein and Christian Habermann were at this media event, but also the journalist and author, Franz Alt, as well as the politician, Hans-Josef Fell.
